Catholic Theological Faculties and Seminars in the Czech Republic from the Point of View of the Canon Law

This thesis describes catholic theological faculties and seminaries in the Czech Republic from the point of view of the canon law. Canon-law rules are presented in the first part - especially from the Code of Canon Law and from the apostolic constitution Sapientia Christiana and the Norm of its application. In this part it is mentioned how these rules are applied at respective faculties i.e. at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague, the St. Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology of Palacký University Olomouc and at the Faculty of Theology of University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The second part focuses on different faculties and completes information not stated in the first part and further focuses on the status of priest seminaries in Prague and in Olomouc and the Theological Convict. Some problems resulting from the legal status of the faculties and seminaries are treated in the closing part - especially the troubles connected with the discrepance between the Czech and the Canon legal order.

This work represents the first comprehensive biography of this historian.
History of the Theological Faculty in Prague: From its foundation until 1419

This diploma thesis focuses on the history of the faculty of theology in Prague from its foundation in 1347 until the outbreak of the Hussite revolution. This thesis first maps the assumptions of the establishment of general teaching in Prague and the founding act of Pope Clement VI. and Emperor Charles IV. Subsequently, the beginnings of teaching at the faculty of theology and its institutional development until 1419 are described. Special attention is paid to the issue of the papal establishment of the faculty, the organization of studies and the role of the Archbishop of Prague as the university chancellor. The internal difficulties of the faculty and the placement of the faculty of theology in the context of the history of Charles University are not neglected either. Methodologically, the work is based on a comparison of literature, and analysis of sources.

Self-conception of students of Free Education at University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice

Bachelor´s thesis deals with self conception of students of pedagogy of free time at faculty of Theology of the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice. The basic terms are defined in a theoretical part (pedagogy of free time, teacher of free time, professional preparation, self conception, reflection). We are introducing pedagogy of free time to the reader. It focuses on student´s view and his reflection of his study. It includes research which describes factors which affect respondents when studying.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the factors that affected the students to decide for the study of Social and Charity Work at the Faculty of Theology of the University of South Bohemia. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes social work, social worker and study programme Social and Charity Work. It also describes the vocation selection and analyzes the individual factors affecting the vocation selection. Practical part contains a research carried out through the anonymous questionnaires, which were distributed among students of Social and Charity Work. Its aim is to identify which factors and what extent affect the students in the choice of field of study.
The free time teacher?s required and final competencies as a graduate at the Theological Faculty of the University of South Bohemia

This bachelor?s thesis concerns itself with the study of Leisure Education at the Theological Faculty of the University of South Bohemia. After becoming acquainted with the definitions and basic concepts, it becomes clear how and where to study Leisure Studies in the Czech Republic. The thesis also focuses on what is special about Leisure Studies at the Theological Faculty and following completion of all the subjects one can study, what competences the student will have gained. These new competences compare well with those that exist, and that are required in current educational practice.
